Madame Tussauds London
Marie Tussauds founded the Madam Tussauds London. She was born in 1761 and completed her first wax sculpture in 1777. She travelled a lot through Europe to show her wax sculptures and Marie Tussauds finally settled down in 1835 in Baker Street to open up her first museum. Some of the old models still exist, but because of a fire in the Second World War most of the older models were destroyed.
The current Madame Tussauds London opened its doors in 1884. In Madame Tussauds you can find wax sculptures of almost every famous and important person in sport, acting, music or politics.
